SOLID SHUTTERS

Please note: Solid Raised Panel Shutters are available options just for the Phoenix and Vancouver Ranges

The Victorians certainly knew a thing or two about shutters and they usually opted for cedar or pine. As the pine shutters made during this era have now mostly rotted away, we often take on replacement work for our clients. We can also provide replacements for the panelling which can be found below the window shutters, as these are basically shutter panels fixed to the wall.

Many people choose these products for their homes in areas road noise and security are important issues. The Victorians themselves fitted them for security along with other quite different reasons. The glass fitted in homes was extremely thin in those days, and so birds could fly into the windows and damage their interiors. The modern shutter is now designed differently. Our shutters are suitable for daily use however we generally don't use reveal boxes.

If you are looking to find shutters that provide almost a total black out, we offer rebated panel edges as standard.
