An elegant alternative to curtains or blinds, shutters are an ideal solution to add light and shade to your home. Looking equally desirable inside as out and offering privacy and security, particularly for on-street windows. Shutters are practical too, offering incredible durability and easy maintenance.
Venetian Shutters offer an exceptional service with highly skilled carpenters who have the utmost knowledge and the best experience for a professional installation. Our custom made shutters are all made from sustainable timber, adding a fresh and contemporary or traditional feel to a room, depending on the type and colour of shutter you would like. You will find our prices both unbeatable and affordable however small or big your job may be.
Our friendly team will be able to assist you, we will answer any of your shutter questions including costs and can arrange a free survey, where we can advise you on the best solution to accommodate your required space. We survey all styles of windows including standard, bay, sash and box windows, French doors, top tracking and custom shapes, to give you a dreamed-of look to be admired. We will bring along a selection of shutter designs and colours available for you to browse through with product samples to help visualise the result.
As Venetian Shutters are custom made, they are not as simple to design and measure as are curtains or blinds. Unless you are an expert at measuring and fitting shutters, we advise you to let us do the whole installation for you.
If you would like to get a rough idea of costs, please see our quick quote page. Alternatively, you can call us directly with your dimensions on: 020 8856 5611.
The survey has two purposes, firstly the shutters must of course fit perfectly so will need to be measured accurately but secondly, there are many ways to place shutters and you will need to be present to discuss the various options with the surveyor. Do not order a survey if you cannot attend personally.
We cannot survey openings accurately that are not finished, no plaster for instance, or, tiling not done, window sills removed etc. If you are going to carry out any alterations close to or to your windows, this may effect the measurements, for example, new flooring, new carpet or replacement windows and frames. Please ensure all alternations are carried out prior to arranging a survey. Although shutters can be shortened after they are made it is not recommended to do so.
We offer a DIY discount when fitting your own shutters. It is possible to fit them yourself and many people do so very successfully. However, there are many pitfalls and it is only recommended for those of you with considerable DIY skills.
